Hello everyone,
I imagine since it is a requirement that someone has taken Information literacy. I plan on taken this pretty soon to get it out of the way, so if anyone can offer some feedback on what this course is like I would appreciate it.
I have not spoken to an EC advisor yet regarding the Info lit course, but I will next week, and besides it would be nice getting feedback from people that have actually taken the course.
Questions; Is this a pass/fail or is it graded?
Does it require a full 16 weeks to complete?
Is it pretty easy or something intense?
Thanks again,
Mike

I was forced to take this ridiculous course as part of my EC degree. It took me about 2-3 hours. Simply print out the material, glance over it, and take the test. I sweated it and felt rather foolish after I read the material....basically if you've been to a library and have used the internet, you'll be OK. You can also search this forum as I know this has been discussed several times before. Hope this helps, Lee

I have already taken this from PFC, and it is on my transcript there. Does anyone think EC would make me take it again?

I would really doubt it, but just to be sure, call and talk to an advisor.

The thought of taking the Info Lit. course was frustrating. I tried to avoid the "course" for a long time. But, Kiwi Lover encouraged me to just do it and get it out of the way. So, I did.
I completed it in a couple of hours and it was a big relief to check that box on my degree plan.

I'm glad I got it over with!!
So... I would encourage you to just do it, that is, if you are financially prepared.
It won't go away... and besides, it's an easy credit.

I also took this course and found it to be quite easy. With the practice tests and the final you should complete this course with no study time in less than 4 hours. This includes bathroom breaks.
