Computer Science @ TESU
I didn’t realize that I had already taken an environmental type science class at my previous Uni. So like an idiot, I took a similar class on Sophia. What are the chances of getting TESU to accept either or course as a second science class or as an elective and not just a worthless duplicate?
Here’s what I took at my previous Uni.
EAES 107 Earth and the Environment (4 credits)
The study of the natural processes of the earth and the effects of human activities on the environment. Earth materials, processes and systems, and the engineering properties of natural materials will be discussed, as well as pollution of soil, water and air. Meets Gen Ed - Natural Science Laboratory.
And here’s what I took on Sophia (haven’t transferred it yet).
ENVS1001: Environmental Science (3 semester credits)
The course helps the students to learn about environmental science in the world today. Students will
develop an understanding of the scientific principles and processes that shape our environment, as well as
the impact of human activities. Students will apply knowledge of a wide range of environmental issues in
context, exploring topics such as natural resources, endangered species, pollution, and climate change.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to describe environmental science; apply principles
of earth science, ecology, and conservation; articulate impacts of development, agriculture, and waste on
environment; and analyze environmental issues, policies, and solutions.
Here are the requirements for computer science @ TESU
D: SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE (In progress) Natural Sciences and Computer Science 6SH For all TESU course options that will satisfy this area of the degree, go to Scientific Knowledge Courses Featured Course(s): EAS-101 Earth Science; BIO-208 Nutrition
Is the Sophia course completely wasted as a duplicate?
Or can I get an advisor to approve it as a second science or an elective?
