Thanks for sharing the diary. For the two foreign languages I've picked up, I decided not to do the CLEP or online method. I went traditional butt-in-seat even though I prefer online and testing out a lot more for other courses. I researched the heck out of the professors (4.5 or higher on ratemyprofessor) before I committed to each language. I had to wait several years for one of the professors because the class wouldn't work with my schedule. After 9 months, I had a decent command of the language and 10 credits.
