Hi everyone,
I am taking the Dantes D&A Abuse test this friday. This is the first Dantes exam that I am going to take. I have taken the CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam and passed with a 53. I also took CLEP US1 and US2 and did not pass those. I only studied with the CLEP study guides on those exams. I haven't really studied as much as I would have liked to for this exam but, I am going to try and cram in as much as I can this week with the other two midterms I have for my other classes that I am taking :o . Can anyone give me any advice? I have looked on the other posts about the charts to remember and what not. Can anyone tell what I should expect and what to focus on.
This is my supposed last semester at Boston University, graduating with my BS in Computer Science. In order for me to graduate in December is to finish the three classes I am taking now and another 12 credits which are all electives. I am going to try and plan on passing on 3 exams=12 credits. The D&A being my first one. I hope I can reach this goal. The reason I am trying to get it done by the end of December is because I would like to start Grad School in January. Any support is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Is the Dantes A&D Abuse available on a computer. I would rather take it on a computer than filling in bubbles. Anyone know?

Lucab,
The D&A Abuse exam is available as a computer-based test, but not every test center offers them yet. Your best bet is to call your local test center and ask them which type of exam they offer.
The CBT versions are still quite new, so you might have to shop around a little if you absolutely must take the computer version.
Good luck,

Will the IC questions be enough for me to know for the exams. How are the questions given in the exam. Fill in the blank? Any examples would be great.
Thanks

DANTES exams are multiple choice with four answer choices. That's great because it means that the correct answer is always right there before your eyes, you just need to be able to recognize it when you see it. It makes it easier than trying to pull the correct answer out of thin air.
IC was good for this exam, but you should also do some additional research to ensure a good solid score. Look up various common drugs on wikipedia for extra reading (both licit AND illicit), study the drug chart I linked to in one of the other threads, look up the schedule of drugs (I - IV) so that you know roughly which drugs fall within which schedule.
This was not an easy exam, so you definitely don't want to be skimpy with your studies for it. The more you read, the higher your score will be.
You should be able to find out everything you need to know to pass this exam in one or more of the existing threads. But don't be afraid to ask more questions, if you need to, after reading all the existing threads.
Study hard, and do well!

Could you please give me a link for the wiki material. Man this exam sounds pretty hard. I hope I will do well. I am answering the IC material about 92% correctly. Hope that is good enough.
Thanks

Just took the test. I think I did ok, I'm not sure for certain. It wasn't that hard. There were a few questions that I didn't know. Out of 106 questions, how many would I need in order to pass?
Thanks
