Does anyone know about MCP certification and credit at TESC
#1
Does anyone know if the Microsoft MCP certification transfers over as credit at TESC? I'm going out on a limb and had my certification notarized and am sending it over to them along with my one A+ passing test (i only passed one of the two tests and hoping to get at least 2 cr for that one). Anyone have any thoughts?

I'll post again and let everyone know what the outcome is but wanted to know if anyone knew for sure about the MCP.

THANKS!!

Depends on which MCP you have.
Microsoft certs are listed on ace. ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training
DSST- General Anthropology - 52, Intro to Computer - 469, Technical Writing - 54, DSST Ethics in America - 59 (1996),
CLEP- Sociology -54, College Math - 550(1996), CLEP Principles of Management - 60 (1996)

Hmuchmo1 has hit the nail on the head. Go to ACE. My understanding is that if ACE has recommended credit for something, TESC will accept that recommendation. (Actually, TESC sometimes gives you "more" than ACE recommends. For instance, ACE might recommend lower level credits for something, and TESC will give you upper level.) Good luck.

Thanks I appreciate the info. I checked ACE and I couldnt find MCP, Microsoft Certified Professional, I think it is replaced by different things now, I don't know for sure. I will let everyone knows when I send the certificate to TESC. I thought I read somewhere on here that credit was given, Fingers crossed PLEASE!!!

I read on this forum that someone sent in notarized copies of their passing score paperwork to TESC and they accepted some on them. I was able to email them the link for the N+ certification and that was accepted. But with A+ and MCP I am trying the old fashion way and hoping for the best.

Sent these in as notarized copies Got credit for A+ as CAP-171 Windows and N+ as CAP-181 Networks. 2 credits each. Still nothing for my MCP cerification. Please can someone help me get creidt for this one? Can I go through excelsior for this? OR does anyone know of another easy 2 credits besides CLEP or DSST?
