They have a robust online presence at the Master's level (including through Coursera) but there's no real clue that their doctoral-level versions of the same programs can be completed remotely or if they require moving to Sonipat.
The tuition looks ridiculously cheap by US standards.

No one would really know the honest answer, as I do not think anyone has completed a doctoral-level degree from O.P. Jindal Global University. My best recommendation is to contact the school directly by email and ask these questions, as they are best suited to answer them.

I've sent an email about this. No reply as yet.

Thanks! This was my understanding but I wasn't sure if anything had changed.
As a result, this likely makes the South Africa-based UNISA the best bet for a low-budget non-US/non-EU/non-UK DL doctorate? With the tradeoff, as I understand it via this forum and its sister forum, being the uni's dense bureaucracy and sometimes scrambling to assign supervisors whose areas of expertise only tangentially relevant to a student's doctoral research.

I expect every Jindal Global online degree is listed under Programmes at jguonline.edu.in. No doctorates, mostly master’s. Some are clearly available outside India (e.g., MA in International Relations, Security, and Strategy), whereas a few describe in-person elements in India, and it isn’t clear whether or how those programs would work for students outside India (e.g., MDes in User Experience, MA in Museology & Cultural Heritage).

Open University of Kenya might also be an option in that category, and cheaper than UNISA. Not sure if anyone on this or the other forum has taken classes there yet. I'm hoping to enroll in a grad certificate program later this year and can report than.

OUK appears at present to offer only two Doctoral degrees, neither of which is at present applicable to my own study or research interests.
