Do you guy excercise? If so, what do you do?

What exercises would you recommend doing at home :confused:
I am getting older, the body ain't as good as it used to be and I need to get my butt outta the chair.
Thinking of joining a gym, but it's a bit farther than I would like.
Was thinking of just jogging or brisk walking at the nearest park.

I do T-25, Insanity, and Insanity Max 30.

However, since I want to be able to use my knees in my older years, every time his workout calls for jumping, I squat. T-25 and Insanity Max 30 both have modified exercises and it comes with a calendar and workout plan. I do run also but only September through March. I do not like to run in the heat so this is something I can do at home in the air conditioning. LOL
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

Swimming. Great if your "body ain't as good as it used to be" or if you want low impact. Walking is good if you have plenty of time.

I do powerlifting and kettlebell sport aka (fluid style kettlebell lifting.) I have also been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis which is genetic but it is important to lift. I might not be able to squat 250 lbs anymore, but i can still squat 200 lbs. It's important to keep strength levels up as we age. In my opinion it isn't obesity that makes life hard, it's being frail. I also have some wacked knees and ankles. Not from lifting but from years of running. This is why I turned to kettlebells. If you do kettlebells right and find a great teacher ( I recommend an instructor with SFG, RKC for hardstyle or IKFF, OKC, ICE CHAMBER , WKC for fluid style) it's EASY on your joints. Despite having a gym membership, I go trail running or hiking. I also do body weight and free weight exercises at home. I think the gym membership is some kind of security blanket I need to quit. :willynilly: Getting outside helps keep my brain clear and is great for study breaks.

Brisk walking, trail running, and weight workout at the gym. I have to admit I'm decreasing the running on dirt trails and I have totally eliminated running on asphalt to preserve the knees.

Haha, i'm about the same...
For ice cream too, and for other snacks (i don't believe it, i do that so often for cheese strings!)
Sometimes when i'm not busy doing work/study, my mind wonders and i'm looking for snacks!

Great! But I live in Canada! They could find my frozen corpse at the bus stop in the spring. Even so, I suppose I could get some exercise running for that bus, but I might slip on the ice, break a hip (I'm 73) and then it's curtains! I'd try an exhilarating round of snow-shovelling, but I live in an apartment and it's all done by hired guns - or is that goons? I think they're grunt-level Mafia guys, on temporary layoff due to lack of "contracts." Even the Underworld economy is lousy, here. These poor fellas really need the money, so they don't want my help.

Exercise keeps your brain clear? Not for me, then. I like my DL courses. My instructors (and I) would go into shock if the fog ever lifted! I think it's best to keep to my present routine: running for the bus - only in summer; walking to Tim Hortons (coffee); standing in line at McDonalds for the "senior" deal on cookies.

So much activity - I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I think I'll go lie down for a while... Smile
