I'm not fond of FB either. I am one of those people with hundreds of "friends." I use FB as a networking tool for work and volunteer orgs. You can post events, join groups, etc I basically never post, and I rarely read others' posts. I just check my messages a few times a week.

I can understand using it for networking purposes. I'm a failure at using LinkedIn. I think it's because all of the jobs I've had aren't really professional, white collar jobs. Most of my coworkers do not have LinkedIn accounts. I've mostly worked in the criminal justice sector, and it seems like LinkedIn is best for business and IT.
