Just because a degree does not benefit you in a particular job doesn't mean it's of no benefit.

He's now looking for master's programs in I/O psych, so I think he was looking for a program that will benefit him professionally. Since he mentioned that he was working in the bank industry in the same sentence he mentioned that he wants something that will benefit him, I assumed that was the case.

I think I was pretty clear from the beginning that I didn't find a lot of benefit in the I/O degree, and that I personally would do something for fun rather than get that degree.  We can agree or disagree on whether the I/O degree is beneficial or not, but I don't think I ever claimed that a random degree would be professionally beneficial from the very beginning of this post.  Sometimes posts move away from the original question, I think it's ok for new things to come up along the way.

I appreciate every post, and piece of insight, even if I am not going to do it. The fortunate thing is, I still have 8 months until I finish my MBA so a lot can happen in that time. I heavily research before jumping 100% into something.
