Did my webcam just screw me?
#1
I bought a new external webcam ( Logitec 270c )because my desktop monitor with built in is too heavy to move. Everything looked great until I tried to scan my ID. It wasn't clear no matter what I tried. I spent more time on trying to get the goofy ID to show up clearly than I did on the exam.

It is fuzzy and hard to read. I submitted it anyway. Am I doomed to fail? Will Study.com really make me wait two weeks to find out?

UUUUUUGGGHHHH. On a positive note I passed with flying colors.

RPNow is a different beast but my guess is... You won't fail. I highly doubt that... but they may flag you.
I had issue with my ProctorU and they flagged me, once was connection issue, once was clarity with my laptop webcam.
But in the end, all it took was a call both times to get them to "fix" or take the note out. *don't be scared*

You're not alone. My first exam had me messing with lighting, trying different angles, trying multiple IDs, and all kinds of stuff. I've never been flagged for a blurry ID and now I just make sure my name is visible, even if the photo isn't.

ProctorU rejected my blurry ID once and I had to reschedule. It really even wasn't all that blurry. Never had an issue with the same webcam on Study.com (it was blurry, but never rejected). I ended up eventually taking apart my webcam and adjusting the focus.

Thank you. Hopefully it is just flagged! I'll let you know what happens.

My blurry ID must have been clear enough for them to accept.
For a second test, I used the desktop camera for a clearer shot of my id and a 3'x2' mirror that I slowly panned around the room. Both were accepted!
