Did I screw up enrolling for the ppc plan - TESC
#1
Hi,
I think I might have screwed up. I applied with tesc as a nonmatriculating student, signed up for a TECEP and then had my transcripts sent over. The last one just got there last week (35 days!). Do I need to call and ask to be an enrolled student now? I don't see an unofficial eval yet - when I try it out, it is empty. I hope I didn't mess the order up.
Thanks for any insight!
Niki

It takes more than a week for them to get it done, more like a month. Don't worry, yet.

You will automatically become "enrolled" at TESC when the term starts in which you're enrolled to take the TECEP. No worries, unless you want to pay $3000 to switch over to the "Enrolled Options Tuition Plan", don't do a thing.

When TESC gets your eval completed, you will be able to see it on your MyEdison site. Takes about 28 days.

Did you sign up for a TECEP? You will not become enrolled until after you've applied, been accepted, had the eval completed, and signed up for a TECEP.

It depends. If you don't need the eval to be confident that you want to start, and which test to take, there isn't any reason not to forge ahead.

What I did was work on CLEP and DSSTs that I knew I was likely to need while I waited for TESC to finish my eval. Then I mapped out my plan and decided how I wanted to enroll. If I hadn't liked what TESC did with my transfer credits, I might have re-thought things, but they took every last one of them.

If your status shows as non matriculated then you are considered a non degree seeking student. You would want to check with TESC but you may have to apply as a degree seeking student and pay the $75 application fee before TESC does an eval. Typically you would apply as degree seeking student. After TESC officially accepts your application and your application fee is paid then you become an applicant. After becoming an applicant you sign up for a TECEP and 10 days after the semester begins you become enrolled under the pay per credit plan.

I think you show as "non-matriculated" during the time period between when you've applied and when you are registered for a TECEP. If you haven't registered fro a TECEP yet, you are kind of in limbo.

After applying as a degree seeking student, the status shows as applicant. Then 10 days after the semester begins it switches to enrolled. Most students can remain as an applicant for up to 6 months before enrolling.
