Degreed raises money for their Learning & Upskilling Platform

Interesting, this learning platform is similar to those we're familiar with, the badge/cert system we use for Credly... Essentially they remind me of a system like LinkedIn Learning or something similar.

They have done something similar, even though these are not credit bearing like a college course, these mini or micro credentials provide adequate training or upgrading of skill sets for employees and other staff members of corporations and organizations that subscribe to their services.

What really intrigues me is, there are so many "freebies" like LinkedIn, why are they making so much?!
