Hi All,
I would like some assistance with crafting a degree plan to finally complete a Bachelor's degree with the credits that I've earned many years ago. I'm currently taking Sophia courses and working towards a Salesforce Administrator Certification. I'm leaning more towards UMPI BLS Management/MIS. Looks like I may need to take the Biology with a Lab course via SDC. I will just take American Government at UMPI. I saw some where on the board that someone had taken MAT 140 Math for Business at UMPI, would that be an option with the BLS degree plans? I don't have a problem with math but its been almost 30 years, so I may be a little rusty with it... Thanks in advance for any assistance/suggestions you guys can provide. I really appreciate it.

Try Sophia's algebra, since you're already there anyway. Even if you're rusty, you should be able to pass easily because everything is open book.
If you haven't already, make sure you check out the degree plans on the wiki: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thanks for responding and your advice about the math class in Sophia... Pardon my ignorance, but are there standard math problems/calculations/equations the same for all students who take the class? I know it's open book but I guess I erroneously assumed that there wouldn't been answers to find via open book for a math class.... I guess I'll see the format once I take the class.
Yes, I have seen the degree plans in the wiki but since I'm working through Sophia, I want to make sure I only take the classes that I need to and not duplicate what I already have...

It won't be the exact same numbers that you're being quizzed on, but the equations are going to be the same. If you know how to solve one, you'll be able to solve the other. For instance:
The course might give you the question of solving 2x + 3 = 9 to find x. But during the Milestones, you might get 2x + 6 = 18. If you know the first, you can solve the second.

Ok thanks for the clarification.

For the BLS you'll need College Algebra or Introduction to Statistics both of which are offered by Sophia. Math for Business isn't for the BLS it's for certain BABA programs and it's a major requirement for them. You need to fill the math GEC requirement which algebra and stats do for the BLS.

Ok and thanks for the detailed clarity regarding the math requirement.

Welcome to the board! How do you know that UMPI is the school you want to go with? I would really recommend you filling in the remainder of the template, you may have missed the addendum on the last post. It will give us more details on your commitments, timeline, etc... You may want to get your general education completed first and then work on the remainder of transferable courses towards UMPI.
You should review the WIKI pages that was linked to you earlier and create a spreadsheet for yourself to reference and track your progress.
The addendum link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid363958
Here's an example UMPI BLS triple minor (MIS, PM, Management) spreadsheet: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid365771

Hi Bjcheung77, thanks for the warm welcome! Below I've added the addendum and a little more details and quoted my initial post for continuity:
I've chosen UMPI because of cost, it's self-paced, proctoring seems to be similar to Sophia, I like the overall approach of the YourPace program, and I like the flexibility of transfer credits (especially since my RA credits are old). Also, I can't attend WGU outside the US.
Thanks for the spreadsheet for progress tracking.
Budget: $5k max
Commitments: I'm currently abroad and will be for some time. My schedule is full but I have complete control over how I schedule myself to complete this degree.
Dedicated time to study: I'm currently studying for salesforce administrator certification and have added Sophia to the plate. At the moment, I don't have a minimum or maximum dedicated hours per week set. Since I've been out of this study mode for many years, I'm trying to determine my realistic pace.
Timeline: Due to everything mentioned above, I plan to only focus on Sophia, SDC, and my Salesforce Certifications (I plan to obtain more beyond the Administrator) the rest of 2022. I hope to be ready to start UMPI Jan/March 2023. Hopefully, I can finish within 1-2 terms.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: Will be paying the tuition cost out of pocket

That's cool, I would do exactly that - focus on the Sophia.org courses while you're studying for the Salesforce Admin certification. I wouldn't add Study.com to the mix until you finish them both. Once done, then focus on Study.com and anything else you can transfer before you begin at UMPI, you basically want to get the max transferable first.
