I'm trying to figure out how to plan out testing given the fact that there are only a handful of testing centers near me and so far only TESC offers a non-work-hours testing time, and that's only one Saturday per month apparently. I have some questions, if anyone cares to weigh in on any of them:
1. If you have a Saturday test date, how many CLEP/DSST exams can you do at once, realistically? If you group them into sets you can reasonably study for?
2. If scheduling and getting to proctored test centers is a problem, is there any downside to doing more Straighterline courses with the online proctoring vs. the CLEP/DSST exams where there's cross-over?
3. Has anyone done the TECEPs with their own proctor, not as an enrolled TESC student? What's the process like - easy or complicated?

Double Decker testing is very doable. Look at FreeClepPrep.com to learn more about what the easier tests are and which ones are related

2 tests in one day would be my max, though I have heard of someone who took more. I'm pretty much wiped out after 1 lol. (I took 3 in one day back when there were still paper tests- Technical Writing, Civil War, and Drug/Alc....HUGE mistake, hand cramps, no time to eat, had to pee, failed Civil War. All around mess.)
SL is great if you are quick. If you work fast, you can really rock out major credits. My suggestion, order your text books BEFORE you start. That way, you're ready at the start of your subscription. You pay by the month with them!

I've done two in a row, and I definitely can "feel it" by about the middle of the second test. Doing three is probably possible, but I'd want a good break in between.

I've also taken 2 exams in one day before, but it takes a lot out of you. I personally couldn't do more than that in one sitting. If you do this, it's better IMO if the exams are related somehow. The last time I did this I took Principles of Supervision and Human Resources Management. They overlapped a lot which helped. Good luck!

I'm rather confused because the test center sets the test times not the schools or DSST/CLEP. You should be able to find some alternate test sites. Have you looked at whether your local community colleges or colleges are qualified test centers or if they have qualified proctors to allow you test with them? I personally wouldn't do more than two exams at one time, unless the material has a lot of overlap or you know the material back to front and front to back. I wish you luck. I have just a few test centers within an hour or so drive of me, so I can relate to your situation.

Probably confusing because I'm in NJ, and TESC is one of the closer places to do testing. Both community colleges within driving distance for me offer testing from 9-4, M-F only. TESC has one Saturday per month for testing, so worst case scenario it's seeming like I could take 2 CLEPs per month without taking any time off work. The TECEPs and Straighterline courses seem more appealing to me now because of the flexibility to use outside/online proctoring resources vs. getting to a testing center during business hours.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to roll through testing without missing much work, and without it taking several years... Gonna take some major coordination I think
It's good to know 2 CLEP/DSSTs at a time is reasonable to shoot for - that definitely helps for planning.
