Timing at TESU, application through to graduation
#1
So i'm slowly getting to the point where the end is in sight, but i'm a little confused about how to time things correctly this year, how long things take at TESU and when to apply etc. I understand that I should get in before the summer, because of possible changes to the degree plans

From application how long does it take to get credits across from ACE and get get enrolled.
I will be transferring everything in except the capstone. Can I just start the capstone right away once the application process is finished?
How long is the capstone course?
How long does it take for the graduation to happen after the capstone? because I also need to plan out finances for the final payment.
At what stage in the process are payments made? application $75, then capstone $1500, then graduation/waiver $2000+$300
I am hoping to be finished all of my last courses by the middle of March.

You pay the $75 application fee when you apply. The $1500 for the capstone is paid when you register for the course. The residency waiver and graduation fee is paid when you apply for graduation.

At this point, since you haven't started the capstone, the earliest you could graduate would be in September. The capstone takes 12 weeks and the latest you could start it would be the May term. Assuming that timing, you would apply in early April, and register for the capstone by mid April.

You would need to apply for graduation by July 1st. All of your transcripts should be in by mid July, absolutely no later than early August. However, send them in as early as you can.

This page gives the deadlines for the different graduation dates:[URL="http://www.tesu.edu/current-students/Graduation-Information.cfm"]

The initial evaluation at TESU takes 25buisness days so keep that in mind as well. You may want to apply and send your transcripts In sooner so they are on there when u go to register for the capstone. If not you will have to talk to someone at TESU and have them remove the $300 cornerstone course for you. A stupid process that can be avoided if they simply asked how many credits you where transferring in. Also if you see that all your credits are hitting where you planned them that avoids having an issue while in the middle of the capstone where TESU didn't transfer a course as you planned. I applied on 1/9 and just not holding my breathe for the eval to be completed. My main worry is my CC courses and how they will actually come in.

Synicaal is absolutely right. A little trick, the same day you apply, go ahead and send in all the transcripts that are complete. That will start the 25 day clock going the day the first one arrives. Then send in that last transcript as soon as the last course is recorded. They will usually evaluate all of them when that first 25 days is up.

Also, if you're taking/took courses at study.com, be sure to indicate that when you apply in order to get the affiliate pricing. You'll get a break on the tuition and the residency waiver.

I'm already enrolled with TESU. Is it possible to apply study.com affiliate pricing for $2000 residency waiver?

Others have reported that they have been able to add the affiliation by asking.

I would suggest emailing the Registrar's Office, explaining how many study.com courses you have taken/will take and asking them to add the affiliation.

oh thanks for the replies.

I took study.com college accelerator ($199 / a month) couple months ago. Do i need to be taking study.com courses now?

I emailed TESU on Friday to ask for the study.com affiliate member discount. It was applied today. It was a simple email to admissions@tesu.edu and they didn't ask what courses I took or when I took them. It might be that simple for you too.
