Hi all - I am so thankful for this community. This forum has been invaluable and I started my ACE classes in March of this year. I am at the point where (I think!) I have satisfied all GEC requirements for UMPI and am getting into electives and upper level/program specific classes. I have used the template to post details of what I have completed and what I planned to complete and have a few questions. If I have left any key details out please let me know. Thank you so much for your feedback and assistance!

2. Either SDC or UMPI. SL will probably cost more and might take more time.
3. UMPI. I don't think this is a class that has transfer equivalents elsewhere. IIRC, you can get it waived if you transfer in Calculus, but MAT140 is way easier than Calculus.
4. No; where do you see this? This isn't an option on the InstantCert site. Either take it at Sophia, when it becomes available, or through UMPI. UMPI may be easier.

You need to take 30 credits at UMPI, it really doesn't matter which courses you can take or transfer in, you're just trying to maximize your transfer the most resourceful way. The best way to see that is for you to create a spreadsheet of the requirements and what you want to take to transfer into the degree, post it to your google or one drive and link us, make the linked file viewable but not editable. We can then comment on recommended courses, such as the ones on the WIKI: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI

You also need to take American Government if it's available through Sophia, or take it at SDC if you opt to take other courses there.
The main thing I would think about would be this concentration - it's impossible to get via alt-credit, so you're going to end up taking a lot more courses through UMPI. From what I understand, you have 6 courses from the core, and then 7 courses from the concentration that must be done at UMPI. I don't think (but I could be wrong) that it's common to take 13 courses in 2 terms at UMPI, which means you're looking at 3 terms to get this done. If you're fine with that, then by all means, do that.
But, if you opt to not take the remaining available courses at UMPI (another 3 courses on top of the 13), then you might even have to do 4 terms. So in this instance, I'm signing up for a month of SDC and taking ACC 301: Applied Managerial Accounting, BUS 303: Management Information Systems, and BUS 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising - and probably American Government as well. That $340 would save you a $1400 term, most likely.
InstantCert is not offering American Government or any other courses any longer.

3. The transfer equivalency database shows that SDC's BUSINESS 110 has come in as MAT 140, but there's no placement test to accelerate it.

So when I go to InstantCert site is includes American Government in the drop down as an option. I am guessing I misunderstood that they offer this when maybe it's just the flashcards? Hmmm.
Have a great night!

I have a very detailed spreadsheet with all equivalencies from the wiki but copied it into the suggested template as per the thread suggestion. lol. No worries. I think I have parsed together from the other replies where my gaps are and next steps with ACE courses. Thank you for your assistance!
Have a great night.

The remaining classes I plan to take at UMPI are:

I mentioned before that MAT 140 has come in for SDC's BUSINESS 110, but BUSINESS 309 has also transferred in for BUS 334. BUSINESS 309 is recommended for ACE credit until August 31, 2023. Assuming these are still accepted at UMPI for what they have been in the past, this would bring you down to 11 UMPI courses.

@PrettyFlyforaChiGuy - Good call, OP, I would try and see if you can get closer to that 10 course limit, being at 11 is amazing... Just in case, you may be able to finish this in two sessions instead of cramming it into one or having a need of extending to three sessions with 13 courses to take.
