I know there are a lot of these programs around but I just ran into this one and so I thought I'd posit it for the record

That's an alternative option, however, I would really look for ones that are already recommended as this would cost quite a bit more. Their tuition is similar to the Big 3, so you're looking at close to $500/credit in-state. Going 1 term at UMPI of X courses would be 1 course here... expensive option, but none the less, a very highly ranked State/Public research university!

Online undergrad tuition link: https://www.umflint.edu/studentaccounts/tuition-fees/
In state Per credit hour $497.50
Out of state Per credit hour $548.50
International Per credit hour $990.25

That's a bunk argument based on schools trying to get as much money as possible from transfer students. It's understandable in our society, but it has nothing to do with integrity. If the rule was designed to preserve academic integrity, then why does it matter where the credits come from? 30 from here or 30 from there should make no difference.

Like I said, I get why schools have the requirement, but let's call a spade a spade and not pretend it's anything other than naked profiteering.
Very True!!!

This might be a situation where institutional accreditation might be useful as a new startup school wouldn't be restricted to the SACS if they were from that region.

SACS was willing to extend candidacy to Columbia Southern. If the prohibition on online only schools was still in place, I presume it wouldn’t have entertained CSU as an applicant.
