The reason they ask for an IE degree is because the position they ask is Engineering related for manufacturing, although I would need to ask to see if anything else could work since I already do pretty much 70% of the work that they’re asking for with the new position, and if available, I would look to see what options I have such as the one you listed in order to get a Bachelors. As for the Associate Degree from Pierpoint, just to clarify I would pretty much need to complete it by taking the 54 Sophia credits + 1 ASU Learner Credit? Also I’ve been reading on the forum that you pay a $300 fee, correct? Thanks again!
I've seen people with Electrical Engineering degrees in manufacturing engineer positions, but that's even harder to find online. Also, doublecheck with MSU that an AAS will work. They may insist on an AA or AS degree. Yeah it definitely is, and I did ask MSU regarding the AAS, but they haven't gotten back to me yet so I'm waiting on that, hopefully it does, it would definitely help me by a lot. However, if it doesn't that's also why I'm looking for other options to obtain an AA or AS to fulfill their gen ed. Thanks!

TESU has Electronic Systems Engineering online, ABET accredited, if you're interested. It wouldn't be super cheap, but they're pretty transfer-friendly and you should be able to get about half your degree from Sophia, Study.com, and/or StraighterLine: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/current/...echnology/
They also have Electrical Technology, but that's something different and isn't ABET accredited.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I'll definitely check that one out! Thanks

Question, for Pierpont since it is 54 Sophia + 1 ASU, although it says it requires 12 RA credits, so 11 can come from Sophia and 1 from ASU, or how does that work? Also is this correct for the course requirements I saw.
"At least one non pass fail course
At least 12 credits from a regionally accredited college or university.
Need:
- English 1, either English 2 or a communication/speech class.
- Computer literacy class
- 2 classes in math/science. Either 2 math classes or 2 science classes or 1 of each.
- 2 social studies classes. They can be Macroeconomics and Micro Economics or History 1 and 2 or sociology or psychology. Any 2 classes will work. Macro and Psych, Sociology and History 1 or 2. Just 2 of those classes from those fields. That will cover your 21 hours of required course work.
- Need 39 free electives to total 60. Probably safely take Project Management, Intro to Business, Intro to IT and Visual Communications. If another needed do Environmental Science."
Thanks!

You said you already have 3 from Sophia and 3 from Study.com. You need 54 MORE for a total of (at least) 60 credits.
Right now, Pierpont accepts Sophia credits in lieu of RA credits. But they still require at least 1 graded credit from a college or university.
Otherwise, yes, you're right.
While you only need 2 math/science classes, I would strongly recommend doing Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus at Sophia. Even if they're not accepted by your chosen university, they'll at least prepare you for taking Calculus from somewhere else. Does MSU require a lab science as part of their gen eds? If so, I would take that at Sophia as well. Assuming MSU will accept an AAS, the closer you align the Pierpont degree to what they're looking for in gen eds, the more likely it is that they'll accept the maximum amount of credits.

Hello Rachel, yes I have ENG COMP 1 from Study.com & College Algebra from Sophia done, I will continue to take the math classes even if they're not accepted, and they do require a lab science, Chemistry 1 with a lab. Thanks for the help!

@OP, You've completed the template but missed the addendum. Not only do you need to double check the institution you want to attend takes the AA/AS or AAS, you want to make sure they also accept ACE credits for transfer into their program. Have you looked into the requirements for admission and transfer into their degree programs yet?

Noted, yeah I contacted MSU about the AA/AS/AAS but I’m still waiting on a response from them. I did, it mainly states that you need at least 15 credits from a regionally accredited institution in order to be considered at transfer student. They also have a tool for transfer course equivalents. So far I’ve been talking with a coordinator from MSU’s Center for Distance Education. Thanks

If you need 15 RA credits specifically, I'd suggest taking some classes from ASU Universal Learner. $425 per class and there are a few that are self-paced. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ar...al_Learner

Yes, I also saw that all the math classes are self paced which is good, thank you! all of this info has been really helpful. I also think that no matter what, getting the AAS from Pierpont is not a bad idea right? Knowing how cheap it is, it doesn't hurt having it as a backup plan?
