Deep breath... starting Patten Univ MBA - Healthcare Admin on the 17th
#1
It is the least expensive MBA around and it's competency based. A lot of skipping right to the test and doing a project/paper. It's very similar to Western Governors Univeristy - but about 2/3 the price - $3600 if I can do it in 8 months, $5700 if I do it in a year. My tuition reimbursement should cover it all. I'm going to try to do it in 8 months. It's 12 courses, plus I have to take the Microeconomics prerequisite that I didn't have as an undergrad. So that makes 13 courses in 8 months... busy times ahead!

I think that the last three courses should be a slamdunk because I've been in Healthcare Admin for over 25 years. And Marketing, Leadership, Org Beh, Strategic Mgmt, and Healthcare Finance - all are very doable. It's regular finance and accounting that will really test me - not my area of expertise!

Once again... deep breath! :roflol:

My career plans are to retire in 6 years Smile I'm old. I've been in Healthcare Admin for over 25 years - at a director or VP level. I'm just getting the MBA to stay competitive for the time left until retirement.

No, I'll probably just do it through the regular competency course. I just don't want to mess around and the tuition isn't bad.
