Hi donvago1, Instantcert is definitely enough to pass this one. It is not a difficult exam. If you have been around a computer at all (at home, or at work), you will be able to answer many of the questions just from your general knowledge of computers and how they work. Instantcert will help you answer the rest. You might want to consider also taking CLEP Information Systems and Computer Applications if your college will accept both exams. There is a great deal of overlap between the two. Best of luck on your exam. I am sure you will do just fine! Let us know how you do, Snazzlefrag

Donvago1, if you need any UL credits (assuming your school considers it UL and you need it for your plan) you may also consider the MIS exam. It's totally doable using only Instacert. And since you'll be in the computer mindset, might also be a next logical step...just a thought... Good luck!

nqt1976 Wrote:I dont see intro to computing in instantCert class list nqt, DANTES Intro to Computing is even more basic than CLEP Information Systems & Computer Applications. If you own a computer and know what everything is called (this is a mouse, this is a menu, this is a scrollbar, this is a checkbox, this is a URL), you can pass the Intro to Computing exam. You can use Instantcert's Info Sys section to study for the Intro to Computing exam. There is a lot of overlap between the two. Hope that helps, Snazzlefrag

nqt1976 Wrote:only Instantcert CLEP Information Systems & Computer Applications will not help me pass the DSST intro to computing. Hi nqt, Congratulations on passing! Evidently the "30% of questions" covered by Instantcert combined with your existing general knowledge was enough to do well on this exam. 66 is a great score! This only confirms that this is, in fact, a relatively easy exam to pass. As I said in an earlier post....Instantcert + General Knowledge = Pass hilarious
My name is Rob
