I thought this was a tough test..yet I passed and you can too! By reading the explanations in the flashcard section and really coming to understand the thought process of all it's telling you ...you will be able to pass this test using only instantcert which was all I used. By all meand study each and every test question and go back to what the explanations gave you as support for the correct answers. I know that sounds really DAH, but take this test slowly, think through the questions two or three times and you will do fine.

Nice post, Snazzlefrag! That kind of feedback should be a huge help to other members.

I agree! That's very helpful. I'll be taking this exam in two weeks and have been keeping that info in mind.
Thanks, Snazzlefrag!

Snazz - thank you so much for that last post. I'm testing today at 6 and this gives me a nice concise list to revisit this afternoon (thankfully, I took the afternoon off from work!).
Thanks to all of you for the feedback. It's helped a lot. Not just the stuff to be aware of, but also the encouragement.

I took the test today. Y'all were spot on! THANK YOU so much for your feedback, it helped tremedously!!!
I feel pretty good about how I did. I only had one Haldol question, but I had a couple of references to DOM, a hallucinagen. I think it was really just a filler answer, though. I did have more questions about legal use of drugs than I expected since I had really been focusing on illict use, but I think I did ok.
Oh, and from the DSST practice test, it seems DSST thinks that the body can expel .33 oz of absolute alcohol per hour, not .5 like in IC. I had that question on the live exam as well. At least 4 questions from the live exam were almost exactly like the practice test.
Thanks again for your input!

Ok, I'm getting a bit nervous about the various symptoms of all the drugs and alcohol.
My question is: can I get a general idea what kind of "symptom" questions they'll ask on the test?
I haven't finished studying all the flash cards, but I'm finding that many many drugs have the exact same effects, i.e. dizziness, lightheadness, muscle coordination problems, euphoria, hallucinations, convulsions, etc. They just seem a bit too close together to tell apart.
Could anyone help me out?

Just know the IC cards inside and out and you'll do fine. That's all I, and many others, used and we all passed; I even shocked myself with an "A"! You can drive yourself crazy trying to memorize everything, IC will work, if it doesn't, blame Shotohilarious
