DEGREE PLAN HELP PLEASE!
#1
I have an AA in Liberal Arts- scientific inquiry and quantitative reasoning from my local community college. And some business courses from
WGU. I am looking for an easy bachelors degree of any type ASAP, as I just need one to move up in my position at my work. I am considering the school UMPI, Bachelor Of Liberal Studies- management minor, because I would think a lot of classes would get transferred in from my AA. Also, I want to do partner schools like Sophia to transfer in as much credits as I can. I have 2 weeks left at wgu marketing program which ill be withdrawing because the Exams are way too hard for me and I have no motivation at that school anymore. Can someone recommend me tips and advice on if this is a good option or not?

I can post my transcripts on here if it makes it easier for you guys.

Please fill out both post addendum from https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works so we can help. Yes, that includes listing out the classes you have completed for the AA and at WGU.

Depending on what you already have, UMPI's BABA Management & Leadership may make a lot more sense than the BLS.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

@bvndz, as mentioned, I would get the template/addendum completed. Get your transcripts and apply to UMPI, if you're looking for max transfer, the BLS is your best bet as 60 credits are electives. If you have a good amount of credits that go into a BABA, then you can get an evaluation to see which one you're closer to. Decide then...

Easier for us instead of posting your transcripts is listing your credits. Do this in the following way:

School (you don't have to put the name, but show NA or RA, semester or quarter system)
Course #, Full course name, # of credits, grade

Repeat for each school. Leave off any F's or W's, as they won't transfer

Then, we can tell you the best option. Make sure you tell us which degree you're considering at UMPI (BABA/Marketing or just BSL).

if apply and send my transcripts, am I still able to still keep doing sophia and other classes and getting it transferred in? do i pay tuition before or after i send my transcripts and apply? Because at wgu, once youve sent in your transcripts and applied, you cant bring in anymore credits at all.

Basically... You should take your time and read some posts, WIKI, and complete the required tasks to provide us a bigger, clearer overview. Anyways, WGU and UMPI operate differently, UMPI allows you to bring in more credits before, during, after you have applied and transferred X credits into the program, they will only accept 90 max for transfer into the degree even though they will accept more than that because they allow unlimited credit transfers... You don't pay for anything at UMPI until you start the program.

@bvndz - UMPI does not work like WGU (who does not allow transfers in once enrolled).  Although it is better to get all your planned transfer credits in before starting UMPI (that is more efficient of your time/money - as you're working on just UMPI while paying for UMPI), they do allow transfers in once enrolled. Now, UMPI does require permission to transfer in once enrolled, but we have had many people transfer in from outside (Sophia, for example) after they started. With that all said, there is no downside to you applying now and see what you're left with. I agree with your plan to apply for the BLS-Management Minor due to you likely having many existing credits that would fall into electives.  If after your evaluation you discover that your not that far off from a BABA you can always switch over.

What kind of degree do you want?: Easiest bachelor degree based on what the most I can transfer with my AA and whatever I can get done on Sophia etc. I just need any bachelors degree to move up at my job. I suck at proctored exams and school just gives me anxiety overall. I suck at math. But I think i will be highly motivated if I see I'm close to the finish line.

- Based on my research, UMPI BLS Management minor would a good fit or even any easier/ less intense business degree, marketing?

If I were you, I'd apply at UMPI for the BLS/Mgmt degree and send in your transcripts; then, I'd enroll at Sophia and take the following:
Sociology
Spanish I
Ethics
American Government
Business Communication

Send that transcript to UMPI, and then enroll in the Fall I term.

You need to take 10 courses at UMPI:
4 remaining courses in the major
hands-on art
5 add'l courses (I'd prob choose the ProjMgmt minor which has 3 courses in common with Mgmt so 3 add'l courses) and then 2 add'l courses in whatever you want. You may be required to take more UL courses, since the Mgmt & PM minors only have 5 UL courses between them.
