Also, the 18 hr series on VHS "The Cold War" by CNN I found to be invaluable and much better than "Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union" video.
I checked it out of my local library.
That web site looks like a great find Crystal.
I think chapters 1 and 2 are likely to be sufficient to pass this exam. But reading through the other chapters wouldn't hurt either.
hilarious

I took this exam on Thursday and I should mention that unlike most of the other posters on this thread, with the version of the exam I had, the Lenin/Stalin period was only about 15 out of 94 questions. Most people reported that their exams were 50% that era. I had over 20 questions about WWII.
By and large, if you follow the advice on this thread, you'll do fine. I walked in a little nervous and walked out feeling good.
Good luck.

Well, I'll be taking this one on Friday. I'm fairly confident that I'll do well; I lived in Russia for 4 years and speak Russian fluently, so I have a the upper-hand. I have used IC and Wikepedia exclusively for study, but I obviously have had some very applicable real-life experience. Thank you all for your insights and help on this one. Hopefully it goes well!

Hi Bongsau,
I also used wikipedia to read deeper into certain areas for this exam. It was definitely worth it.
Did you read some of the other threads regarding this exam? There is quite a lot of feedback from many different members, and you might find some of the links and advice helpful.
Best of luck with your exam on Friday. We'd love to hear your own thoughts and feedback after the exam, if you feel up to it.
Do well,
Snazzlefrag
