I have taken TEEX cyber-security, however I need to know if it will be a wasted course taking CYBERSECURITY DSST, since it is UL. I am planning on going to COSC to take information studies.

It just depends on what they have as course equivalencies. At TESU, there used to be some overlap (one of the courses at TEEX has the same course number as cybersecurity DSST), but they changed it, and now there is no overlap - totally different course numbers.
It's one of those cases where you have to check with COSC to see what they say.

Here is how both of those courses were transcribed for me.
TEEX Cybersecurity for IT professionals = 2cr LL ITE 145 Fundamentals of Information Systems Security
Cybersecurity DSST = 3cr UL CSS 346 Access Controls, Authentication and PKI

Thank you. I'm going to take it either way because I need UL courses.
