Really wow? That's probably the route I am going now until something changes. I kind of wanted a quick bachelors so I went the CJ route, but now I don't want to work in law enforcement anymore. Also I thought the math in PF CJ's program was worthless to, but looked it up and saw it was ACE reviewed. As long as they do count it as a free elective, I don't mind heh.. We're pretty much in the same boat, expect I didn't clep once. Good news though that they will take some of my PF credit as upper level. Woot Woot!

KillerKitty, not to totally derail the conversation, but what Upper Level courses did you take a PF that would fit with a Social Science degree at TESC. Also can you share a little about the SL Comp 2. Is there a lot of writing involved? How quickly were you able to finish?

Ok sorry this took so long.
I scanned my academic evaluation so you could see exactly what's up.

The "Spec. Stud. in Selecte T" are all Criminal Justice courses from Penn Foster, I'm not sure why they were transcribed that way.
These credits came from Penn Foster Courses, (Completed CJ associates degree), CLEPS- Psych, Soc, Ed. Psych, HG&D. Aleks- All Math courses. Straighterline- English II. (English I was from Penn Foster), and the FEMA credits.
Hopefully this clears up a bit of questions, but I'm sure it's also going to raise a few.
Like why couldn't my "Business Math", "American Courts Systems," or "Library Orientation" go under general electives instead of free electives? They actually didn't count American Court Systems or Library Orientation at all, they're stuck in "other courses" with my leftover FEMA credits...?
PS - the images are kind of hard to view at first, after you click on the link, click on the image again and it'll be way easier to see.

Kitty,
Thanks for sharing. I am trying to determine how TESC mapped your PF classes to their U/D classes. I took a shot by looking at the Catalog, can you review and confirm that this is accurate?
TESC Upper Division On Evaluation:
SOS-440 - Terrorism
WMS-399 - Spec. Stud in selected Topics
PSY-389 - Crisis Intervention
AOJ-354 - Law and Politics of Race
SOC-359 - Organized Crime
POS-315 - International Relations I
PF Classes:
CJS 215: Terrorism
CJS 213: Women and Criminal Justice
CJS 260: Crisis Intervention
PLS 213: Family Law
CJS 225: White Collar Crime
CJS 217: International Relations
??????????????

Yep except for Organized Crime and White Collar Crime are two different Penn Foster courses,
Criminal Justice Degree - Training Outline - Penn Foster College
Core Criminal Justice Elective (3 credits) (choose one):
CJS220 â Police: Organized Crime
Course opens with a consideration of how organized crime has developed and the structure of organized crime; looks at the different types of criminal activity typical to organized crime; reviews international organized crime, as the principles underlying organized crime would naturally lead to expansion; course closes with a consideration of the tools and means available to law enforcement to battle organized crime; each chapter includes Internet connections, which are URLs where students can go to find more information on the subject matter covered in the chapter.
CJS225 â Security: White-Collar Crime
Presents the distinctions between crimes of violence and property-based crimes; specifies what constitutes white-collar crime, explores how criminal activity often causes more damage to society than do crimes of violence; looks at the laws involved in prosecuting such crimes as well as considers how to detect and to gather evidence of such crimes; also looks at corporate crime and political crime.
These should both be UL also.

For the Penn foster credit on TESC transcripts, did they change the name on some of them? Such as, Penn Foster class Criminalistics is named that way, although on your transcript it says Intro to Criminalistics? I'm confused. Matter a fact most of the CJ credits are differently named than what's on PennFoster or ACE's registry with Penn Foster.
And also, the way TESC classifies Penn Foster courses such as PSY-389 Crisis Intervention although with PF it's CJS-260. Is it TESC way of classifying it within it's own courses?

I'm not suprised that the names are different, given that TESC is using their course numbers.
