Receiving Acclaim Badges for Saylor Courses
#1
Has anyone received badges on the new Acclaim platform for previously completed Saylor courses? I had courses listed on my ACE transcript, but nothing has shown up on Acclaim. I've tried to reach out to Saylor but haven't gotten any response.

One thing to remember about old Saylor courses is that some existed within the ACE-created alternative credit project ecosystem. Saylor approved credit recommendations for their classes, but ACE also approved credit recommendations for Saylor classes within the alternative credit project ecosystem. So if you took any of those, ACE *should* eventually create badges for these credits. They should be pressured to do so.

Just a funny thing, as a result of these threads, I asked that SDC credits be transferred to Acclaim. I got an email response yesterday that said the transcript was sent to "ACE" just yesterday. I think everyone is behind schedule on the Acclaim setup.

I don't think there were any ACPE courses that weren't ACE as well, were there?  So it was kind of redundant.  The ACPE expired long ago, so I imagine any school that took those courses through that no longer is?

So why is Acclaim important, and what are its benefits?

Acclaim is the new ACE system. The only real benefit to students right now is that it costs $0 to send a transcript to a school. Everything else about it has been a nightmare so far due to the (mis)handling of the transition.

Acclaim is the new Credit banking/transcripting service that is used for ACE-recommended (and other) courses.
