Credit for ALEKS Corp (McGraw Hill) Online courses in College Algebra & Statistics
zefrench Wrote:Nope, intro to Stats was categorised as Lower Level.

Thanks for that reply, I've been watching the feedbacks about it. That was one thing I wondered about too, if it would be turned down as previously stated, because it states that it's an "'Introduction' of Statistics".

Well does anyone know whether the Business Statistics and/or Statistics for Behavioral Sciences is given credit as upper level courses?

I know you are talking about EC, but right now, Lia is the only one I know here who has done all three. She has them being posted to her TESC transcript any day now- it would be helpful to see how they are evaluated.

I am still waiting to hear back from Excelsior that they will take beginning algebra even though I read on here that someone else submitted it and it was accepted.

I completed Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Precalculus with Aleks and sent my ACE transcript to EC in December. My latest status report has all three courses included.
That's great craftkc10, thanks for the info!
Does anyone know if ALEKS is working on getting other classes than math approved?

Or is it just the 9 math classes that are listed that are ACE approved?
My ALEKS class was just posted on my evaluation 5 weeks after TESC received the transcript. ALEKS is the way to go!
If one takes an ALEKS course but isn't enrolled in one of the big 3 or somewhere else until a couple of years from now, where does the credit go until needed? I've been keeping up with this thread but not sure I understand.

You'll need to get it on an ACE transcript. After registering with ACE, you tell ACE (completely online process) that you've completed your ALEKS course (70% assessed). ACE then contacts ALEKS and let's you know when it's on your transcript. It usually takes only a day for the entire process.

Someone else asked which courses were ACE-approved. It is currently only 9 of their math courses. I put them into a spreadsheet and attached it here. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help. Does ACE retain the transcript then send it to the college of ones choice upon request? Is there a limit to how long ACE will keep the transcript?

Craft- if you feel like adding 3 more columns, maybe you could keep track where each of the big 3 actually apply credit for each of the ALEKS classes? I know it will be posted here, but having it on one chart would be awesome.
