Creating TESU Plan, questions about Saylor credits
#1
I am new to the forum as a member but have already gotten lots of great info and guidance reading forum before joining as a member.

Submitted 89 credits earned from various sources, including 9 from Dantes tests, to TESU.
Requested a Liberal Studies BA degree plan and received my Academic Evaluation from TESU accepting all credits.

Just completed the Saylor Principles of Marketing and passed the proctored test.

I am looking at taking these Saylor courses/proctored exams:
Introduction to Comparative Politics (ACE)
Business Law and Ethics (ACE)
Physics: Introduction to Mechanics (ACE)
Principles of Management (ACE)
Intro to Computer Science I (NCCRS)
Intro to Western Political Thought (NCCRS)[/INDENT]

I don't want to enroll in TESU until I need to take the Capstone but I am a little anxious about taking these tests without knowing they will be approved by
TESU - not in terms of will they fit into the plan, the Ethics test will be for the Ethics requirement, the rest are for elective credit - my concern is whether the credits will be accepted. I read that TESU accepts ACE and NCCRS approved credit, but there are many pages on the TESU website that refer to portfolio credit etc. (which I do not want) and many posts here about being careful making a plan - I want to be sure passing these tests will result in credit at TESU.

Does someone have experience with this and can advise me? thank you

I am looking at taking these Saylor courses/proctored exams:
Introduction to Comparative Politics (ACE) - transfers as POS-282
Business Law and Ethics (ACE) - transfers as LAW-201
Physics: Introduction to Mechanics (ACE) - transfers as PHY-111
Principles of Management (ACE) - transfers as MAN-301
Intro to Computer Science I (NCCRS) - transfers as COS-101 (not sure why it's listed as ACE credit)
Intro to Western Political Thought (NCCRS) - I don't see an official equivalency listed anywhere

For the ethics requirement, consider the 2 credit Insurance Ethics course from The Institutes (theinstitutes.org).

Yes, these will transfer into TESU. They accept all ACE and NCCRS recommended credits.

If you only need Free Electives (not Gen Ed Electives or AOS Electives), then these will all work there.

He's trying to use LAW-201 as the ethics elective. Do you have any experience with them allowing/not allowing that?

They won't take it, it's a LAW course.

Just take the free Insurance Ethics course instead.
