Confused Boomer, Help Needed Please

Take the trifecta of certs, degree, experience with as many Coursera/ACE options you can take, it's well worth the energy, money, time you put into it as you gain certs/experience and college credit with them, I would max those out first. For your flat rate term, I suggest Cornerstone, Capstone, Software Engineering, PLA 1010 and an E-Pack of your choice. Your main focus would be placing 40% of your resources/time into the capstone, the rest can take 15% each... and if you really need to, you can extend the Capstone course if you feel you may want extra time to complete everything.

So lets say I complete the Coursera IBM Full Stack course and it completes the remining CS elective requirements. Wouldn't it be better to take SOS-1100 Info Lit, ETH-2200 Eth Ldrshp, LIB-4950 Lib Arts Capstone, COS-2400 Operating Systems, and COS-3300 Computer Architecture to satisfy TESU's 15 credit requirement?

Software Engineering (CS elective which would already be satisfied with the IBM course), PLA 1010 (doesn't count towards the degree credit requirements, and there are no E-Pack courses that will satisfy a degree requirement.

I agree with bjcheung77. The courses you listed to take at TESU are some of the hardest ones. Take the easy ones instead. The TESU classes for the flat-rate term don't even have to be directly related to your degree. It's usually easiest if they are, but really take whatever looks like an easy A (or B).

Okay now I get it lol. I didn't see this before I posted my question about taking courses that don't pertain to the degree requirements.

That's right, if you're going for the double degree for the BACS/BSBA, you can change the e-pack to the Business Capstone. Two degrees for the price of one, you once again, want to see if you need to extend the two capstones. These two course would be lots of work, so you really need to have energy, time to get these two completed. The flat term is to hit the residency requirements and also your degree requirements, you can transfer everything else in with alternative credits as you already have more than 30 RA credits in total...

No, not really. Operating Systems and Computer Architecture aren't easy classes at TESU. They should probably be taken by themselves. Doing that would, of course, negate any monetary savings.

You're better off taking the capstone, cornerstone, Software Engineering, and two easy 100-level courses or ePacks. It's a tiny bit nonsensical, I admit, but it works out to be easier and cheaper to take classes that have little, if anything, to do with your degree than it does to actually fill out your degree with TESU classes. The random class(es)/ePack(s) will likely go into your free electives.

If you can finish in 1-2 months (totally doable), $50-$100 is a dang good price for 18 UL & LL credits.

Just noticed you're currently in the BACS and BSBA CIS program. Did you go through the IBM Full Stack cert? I just finished the Intro to Cloud Computing course and starting on the Intro to Web Development. Cloud Computing was SUPER boring, hopefully the other courses will be a bit more hands-on/enjoyable. I'm trying to get through the whole cert in less than a month.

I have a stupid question, is there a site you all use to verify the credits/classes TESU will apply to your transfer credits/courses? Just want to ensure these courses will satisfy the CS AOS electives.

Just finished the Git/GitHub Coursera course, wasn't too bad. Was wondering if you had some insight about the 18 semester hours within the AOS in 3000/4000 level. By my count I will have 3 for the Liberal Arts Capstone, 3 from CIS-3510 Software Engineering, possibly 3 from ITS-399 (Coursera IBM Full stack cert) and possibly 3 for ClD-420 (Coursera IBM Full stack cert). I'm not totally sure if my transferred credits satisfied any of those 18 credit requirements. Is the best COA to just email my advisor and ask to see how that 18 credit AOS requirement looks so far?

LOL, you don't have any UL and that's the issue... The easiest option is to follow through with the Study.com options and couple them with the Coursera/TECEP/TESU courses. You need to 'mix and match' as I mentioned... You don't have a specific spreadsheet or plan you're following and just jumping to the AOS... Since you're going for some Coursera/TECEP/TESU classes anyways, you want to maximize on the learning/knowledge gaps and also fill the trifecta of certs, degree, experience.

You need to do all the Study.com classes that will fit the BACS/BSBA CIS major, three courses will overlap within the degree AOS, you add to that with the TECEP or TESU classes to hit the 15 RA residency credits. The screenshot you have just shows you what you have for lower level and the missing 11 credits for upper level. Review the LevelUP/Rachel83AZ double BACS/BSBA CIS and complete the UL Study.com ACE credits listed.
