Thanks for the post, but... Is this advertising for Nightingale or StraighterLine and Study.com? What's Nightingale? I just did a search, if it's the Nightingale College, they're actually just state recognized and seeking RA at the moment, but what dismissed them as an option is, they only focus on "Health/Nursing" and their tuition is $590/credit... So, I really don't know what the purpose of your post and screenshots are for....

Hello, I started BSN program recently @nightingale. I am an international student. I heard study.com and straighterline from my friend. I took all prerequisites for nightingale before April. And after April they didn't accepted SL credits. But right now students are struggling to complete subjects with nightingale. I just posted this for i saved a lot of time and money by taking SL and SDC courses.

If you are an international student, you're probably wasting your money by going to a school that isn't accredited. It's highly unlikely that your country is going to accept it as a valid degree.

Nope, I am not. I want to work here. Not in my country.

In that case, it still might not be a valid degree for immigration purposes. Make sure you find out for sure before you commit a bunch of money to it.

I do have student visa, why should I pay then? I do know everything about what i am studying. And I am not alone. I am here with my friends we are studying hard to achieve our goal. Managing part time job and doing nursing is not at all easy task. But still if you like something it won't bother you at all.

If you intend to work in the US after your studies, you will need an immigration visa. An unaccredited American degree usually will NOT work for this purpose. You won't be able to find an employer sponsor and you'll have to go home.

It sounds like Op is coming to the US on a student visa and, I am assuming, will complete a BSN that involves clinical a here and then will sit for the nursing exam. If Nightingale’s website is accurate, the school has met the requirements for students to sit that exam.

I understand that would-be immigrants using their education as part of the qualifying process have to have degrees from accredited schools. But, if OP is a licensed RN, is that sufficient for immigration purposes? If you are a US-licensed RN with an unaccredited degree, does the accreditation status of your degree matter?

I won't say that it absolutely won't work - because it might. But I also know that schools, in general, have a history of taking advantage of international students who don't understand how the school system works. A degree that works for an American citizen won't necessarily be the right choice for someone from abroad.
