So, in today's mail came a diploma from West Virginia University at Parkersburg, making me an official graduate with a Board of Governors Associate in Applied Science!
It's this program: Board of Governors Associate of Applied Science | WVU Parkersburg
I'm not even sure how I first came across this opportunity, but it may have been this post from morig:
http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...ors-s.html
There are other WV schools that offer this: Board of Governors Adult Degree Completion Program - Eastern WV Community & Technical College and Board of Governors AAS , but I went with WVUP because I wanted something from a school with the word "University" in the name. I paid a little more for it, but there are less expensive equivalents from Community Colleges.

It was, for me, a pretty fast process. I enrolled in March, and graduated in August. They required 3 credit hours in residence, which I satisfied with an online West Virginia history course. I used DSST exams for my Natural Science, and Computer Literacy requirements. They accepted a 20 year old CLEP for part of my Communications requirement. The remainder was other CLEP and previous B & M classes I had compiled over the years. They do not accept FEMA credits, even if transcripted through Frederick.

It's been a long journey to my first Associate's degree, this program was a blessing, and I encourage others to look into it.

Another Associate's from a local B & M Community College and in the advising stage now with COSC for a Bachelor's. I've got probably 80% of that already knocked down.
