Do you perhaps know if they accept credits like Aleks, Study.com, Straighterline? They are on the list of accepting ACE credits, but that could only be military!
Thanks so much!
yes, the BOG AAS and the RBA degree accepts ACE credits. The residency requirements are 1 course for the AAS and 8 for the RBA.

I would get in contact with them directly by email as last week or two, they may have just bumped their residency requirement from 3 to 15 credits, it no longer is the cheapest I know. I would recommend COSC AS. If you are going for a Bachelor's, I would recommend ASBA from TESU.

On the sister forum, it's here:
WVUP - Board of Governors Associate of Applied Science
I would still email them to be on the safe side if ever wanting to get a degree there.
I think he colleges are still offering a degree at the associates level for cheap without this updated requirement.
But will need to email thoses colleges to know for sure instead of speculating.

I was conversing via email with WVUP about their residency requirements. It has increased to 15 credit hours.
But I found another college in West Virginia that offers the same associates degree program with 3 credit hours.
Quote:Residency Requirement: 12 credit hours from a regionally accredited higher education institution. A minimum of 3 credits may be required at the host institution. Petition for exception to the residency requirement may be made to the Chief Academic Officer of the host institution.
Programs of Study > Board of Governors A.A.S. Degree Completion Program | WVNCC | West Virginia Northern Community College
I will be contacting them today to clarify if the 3 credit hour requirement still stands.

Yes I called and confirmed the WVUP is 15 credits starting fall term. Many other WV still only have 3 credit requirement. Also call and confirm with the schools first.

This is an example of why to sign up now if it is a good deal. As time goes on these easy degrees become more challenging. I believe there was a time the Big 3 didn't require capstone courses. Some now require them for associate degrees. If you see something you like, lock that catalog in now.

Thanks for posting this. I emailed them to confirm since I signed up in the Summer but would not start until Fall if I am still under the old catalog. They told me that I would now default under the new catalog and would need to take 5 courses. I think this is bs, since I signed up prior to the rule changes, but they insist that I must take 5 courses.
I'm glad I checked because this would have been a great waste of $1200.
This is total bs, since I signed up for the course prior to the rule change.
