Hi Everyone!
I am so happy to update you that my brother has just submitted his final assignment for his UMPI BAS with a minor in Info Systems and PM degree!! He is ecstatic. He does not post on this forum, but he knows about it and he is eternally grateful for this resource.
This forum has been life-changing for me and him. I could never thank enough everyone on here who has replied and helped us shape our degree plans. Truly this is an incredible positive resource on the internet, it brings me to tears to think of this community. I will try to 'pay it forward' as much as I can by posting replies to help people with their own journeys.
Info on my brother's journey:
-Like me, he had two previous attempts at community college that did not stick. We both have been on our own since we were 18 and had to work to pay for our lives, and community college never worked out.
-Started with less than 20 credits
-Started on Sophia
-Struggled with Study, ultimately spending months stuck on Study classes (life happening and loss of motivation).
-Utilized TADA to it's maximum benefits. He seriously took every course on Coursera through TADA that UMPI accepted for credits
-Got the AAS with Info Sys concentration from Pierpont
Time: 17 months, with some breaks and slow periods
Cost: 3.5k
UMPI: 1 term - 12 classes
UMPI experience: started off a bit difficult with a PM class that dragged on but was able to pick up speed and finish before the term ended.
What's next: Taking a break and considering a Master's. His partner is working through a BLS in Management plan.
