Ok.
So, then, if we remove all the CJ-like courses from the general ed matrix, what does the hive suggest I fill them with? I have committed to taking the Technical Writing DSST. I had thoughts of taking shmoop US history from ???? to the present.
Thanks in advance for your patience.

Since you need so much, I would take all 3 Shmoop courses if you can. I think the price is still $25 for a month, so now is a good time to lock that in!

Criminal Justice is not a very test-friendly degree due to the Area of Study requirements. Unlike General Ed, which often has a variety of courses that would fulfill a component, these courses are specific to the degree- so not just Ethics (or Business Ethics), but Ethics in the Justice System.
Area of Study: Criminal Justice 42
A. Introduction to Criminal Justice (3)
B. American Juvenile Justice System (3)
C. Introduction to Corrections (3)
D. Criminology (3)
E. Criminological Theory (3)
F. Courts and Criminal Procedure (3)
G. Public Policy and Criminal Justice (3)
H. Introduction to Law Enforcement (3)
I. Research Methods in the Social Sciences (3)
J. Technical Writing (3)
K. Statistics (3)
L. Ethics in the Justice System (3)
M. Liberal Arts Capstone (3)
N. Criminal Justice Electives* (3)
The DSST Technical Writing fulfills Component J in the Area of Study.
Unfortunately, you will need at least ALEKS Intermediate Algebra because your math classes have a developmental prefix instead of a math prefix. You could take Intermediate for your Quant Lit, College Algebra and Trig or Precal for General Ed electives, and the Stats class to fulfill Component K.
In looking around a bit more, the BA Liberal Studies with a Criminal Justice concentration also requires a bunch of specific courses, but the BALS with a Social Science concentration might work better for you if this seems daunting.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
