Colorado Tech University-Masters in 15 months???
#1
I keep seeing these ads for Colorado Tech University and getting one's Masters degree in 15 months? Is this legit?

I am currently working on my Bachler's and plan to get my Masters of Business Administration.

Any thoughts on this? I am assuming it is a scam.

That seems a little fast for an MBA, but many master's degrees are obtainable in as little as 10 months so the time frame isn't odd really.

Isn't Colorado Tech sort of expensive? There are alot of MBA out there that can be done in 1 yr to 18 months. I would make sure any MBA program that I went to had the proper business accrediation.

I can help with this one...I got my MBA via California Coast University. The fastest they will let you do it in is 9 months...I did it in 6 and had to wait 3 months before they would let me graduate. I was working a 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off shift, 12-hour shifts; on my 15 days off a month, I studied for 12 hours a day. This about drove me to insanity but I really wanted to get it over with ASAP; it worked well for me. It is all on-line, is nationally accredited, and Uncle Sam paid for the whole thing as I was still in the military at the time. Funny thing is I still have my full Post 9/11 G.I. Bill to use and I have no idea on what or if I'll even use it; they will not let me transfer it to a family member or child.

Anyways, check out CCU, it is a good college, it was very challenging, and I had super support from the staff. As my previous post a couple of days ago pointed out, don't expect too much in the way of a pay increase having a MBA though...hasn't made much of a difference at all for me. Insure you research what type of graduate degree will work for you prior to putting forth all that effort.

AIU's online MBA used to offer a 10 month completion. That being said, my program was closer to 3 years with the accounting concentration.

However, I'd highly recommend that you look for a program that is AACSB-accredited, it's not 100% necessary but many employers look for it. Good luck! Smile
