Hello all
Just joined this site and have already found much of the information here very useful. I am currently a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Chemical Engineering practice. I recently learned about the MBA-project management program at our university. It will only require a few more hours of classes much easier than I'm currently taking. I've heard that completing my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering along with an MBA in project management will allow me to progress to management positions earlier than if I just get my Bachelor's in ChemE. Is there any truth to this?
Upon successful completion of my school's co-op program, I will have roughly a year's worth of work experience when I graduate. I know that this work experience is very important to engineering employers, but I'm wondering if an MBA would be a nice addition to my resume. How do potential employers view a Bachelor's in ChemE along with an MBA in project engineering?
Should I take the time to complete the MBA or is it just a waste of time?
