How is everyone doing in their current academic endeavors? Where are you at in your studies? What new things have you learned recently? I'm always curious to hear about how our forum members are doing here.

I am on the second-to-last course in my UMass Global MBA, on track to finish in one term unless disaster strikes (always a possibility lol). It's been an interesting ride and given me the confidence to look at some other master's. Obviously if I was thinking "logically," I would go for a doctorate next, but I choose my education goals based on what interests me. Hence the bachelors I am also working on. I have said elsewhere that UoPeople can feel like a slog, but I think it varies per course and instructor and how many classes one takes at a time. I am more than 75% through the degree but only a few courses in at UoPeople itself.
It's been interesting to see how much psychology has come up both in my MBA courses and in the UoPeople courses.
For a long time, I have been interested in Judaic studies, but those have been less accessible online. I found a program at Genesis University but haven't heard back yet. I also found this at Jewish Theological Seminary, which is not for credit but looks like it would tick a lot of my boxes anyway:

Also really interested in the Newlane model, But not sure if I will pursue a degree there.

Nice! I'm glad to hear you're having great success in these programs.
I actually did a phone interview with the president at Newlane a couple years ago -- interested guy, interested philosophy. I would be all on-board with the program, but the way in which it's structured, it doesn't make any sense to me. Essentially, it's standard coursework with a final project at the end, but it's not really the end because you have to have a meeting with the course instructor to assess your knowledge. To me, there's almost no point in doing the final project because its not really the culminating experience/demonstration/assessment of your knowledge in the course. At that point, I feel as though they should just mimic something along the lines of WGU, but instead of just a singular PA or OA, it's just a phone call since that's their intentions. He explained to me about Bloom's Taxonomy (which I'm quite familiar with as it relates to HOTS), but it seems counter intuitive to the process.
But here I am monologuing. If I remember correctly, I think COSC has a B.S. General Studies options in Judaic Studies

COSC does!
It's funny what you say about Newlane--those are exactly the things that appeal to me about it. It just goes to show that there are many ways to learn!
