I'm going to be taking CLEP - English Comp w/Essay as well as A&I Lit. asap. Cheapest and most effective way to study? How long did most of you study for it?
I have a CC around the corner from me and they charge $109 for CLEPS, I believe.

I find the College Board Clep Study guide helpful to give you a feel for how the test is going to be. I don't think either of those tests require a lot of studying. I can speak to the A&I literature because I did take that and it really was just reading and answering questions about the passage. I didn't study, with the exception of reviewing the sample test for it. If you are planning on taking a few CLEP test I think it is worth it. I got mine on Amazon for under $15.00 (CLEP Official Study Guide 2011 )

It has a sample test for each subject. For the tests I have taken, I found these practice tests to be right on the mark.

So they basically give you an idea of your strengths?
For example, if you don't find them TOO hard, you're more than likely going to pass the CLEP, but if you do find them a little challenging, you should study..and if you find them extremely hard, you should probably take the class.
Am I right about that?
So is that book like a combination of ALL of the CLEPS?
