Cheap UL Credit Sources???

If you are looking for coursework, BYU independent, CSU Pueblo Independent Study, and Adam's State University all have affordable, self-paced upper level courses. It will be difficult to find courses for less than $500, but these three sources get pretty close.

Hi smf6824, I believe they do offer credit for the GREs...but I don't know that there's any that I could pass. Aren't the GREs super hard unless you're a specialist in the subjects?

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely check out the exam feedback. I've never liked any test, so history (which I'm not fond of) is extra intimidating. Civil War history is something my family is big into so I'm considering it, so I can be educated on the subject as well. Next I was going to ask about the Rise of the Soviet Union DSST, but you make an excellent point about the names of politicians, etc. So Civil War and Reconstruction it is! There's 3 UL credits I'm sure I'm going to study for now. Thanks for the insight and suggestions.

Everybody is different. it is hard to say what is "hard" and what is "easy". When I study, I just dive into the subject and let it consume me for a few weeks. Unfortunately I haven't taken a test in a little while. I changed jobs recently and my new job requires so much studying and learning at work during the day that I come home mentally exhausted most days. I am sure any test I would try to take right now would be "hard" for me.

I hear ya'! It took me losing my job in order to want to go back to school. Are you planning on doing any graduate studies later on?

I hear ya'! It took me losing my job in order to want to go back to school. Are you planning on doing any graduate studies later on?

Ideally, I would love to continue on. Realistically, I am not so sure that will happen soon. I am generally a very inquisitive guy. I also don't like knowing that what I have is not the "highest" whatever it is. So, I am sure once I finish my bachelor's, I will feel like I need to do more. At my company an MBA would pretty much qualify me for any non-engineering position.
