I know I know....
You guys help me with my request, then a request for my gf, now I'm here with another request for my future sister in law.
She has a bachelors from Augusta University. She's trying to get a promotion at work but they require an MBA no exceptions and you can't sub work exp.
So she needs a cheap and fast mba program. She says it doesn't matter if its National or Regional her job is government so as long as its US Education approved its good to go.
She ask that it should be able to be completed as soon as humanly possible, be cheap and super easy because she's too busy with work/ 3kids. I suggested UoPeople to her but her research suggested it was filled with busy work.
So once again I'm turning to more experience people....you guys!
Thanks.

If she really buckles down and does the work WGU might be a good option. There are some people who complete their MBA in 1 term which is 6 months. UofPeople is only NA accredited. I would NOT recommend it for grad school. It doesn't have a regular faculty as they are all volunteers. Your classmates grade your papers. It is a semester based program. WGU is a CBE program so you move at your own pace. There's no semester schedule to follow.

I don’t think any will be fast. I’ve been searching that path myself. A few that are sticking out to me as possible future options are:
LSU-Shreveport. A friend of mine just finished her MBA. it’s affordable but not the cheapest. I want to say it’s around $12,000 or so. It sounds like she had tons of support.
Eastern University - saw that here recently. Cost is around $9,000. I liked some of the flexibility it seems to have.
A lot of people like the Hellenic American University for $3,000. I believe that’s a special offer.
I’m doing Walden right now. The Tempo version is Competency based. But at my pace, way too expensive. And regular courses would cost around $30,000. Eeep!
UoPeople really is just reading and writing papers every week. And you are peer graded. I tried it… didn’t care for it.
A few other low cost, but might not be the most ideal might be Columbia Southern (NA), Waldorf (RA), and Grantham. They have some discounts and scholarships if she has any military connection. But there are some criticisms of those schools.

Thank you, I still hear that UoPeople is pretty easy. She says she needs to complete it in 1 year, cheap and it has to be easy so she can just cruise by. She's aiming for her manager's job who's retiring within the next year (and she says she's been doing his job already for the pass year lol).

I am not sure who says UoPeople is easy. I hear people complain that other students give them poor grades.
My friend finished her LSUS MBA within a year. She said she could have been done in 10 months if she did 2 classes at a time, but she started with one, then did two each term and then finished off with doing one for the last term. It’s not the cheapest school out there, but still in the affordable range for some people. Plus a reputable school system. It is on my serious consideration list, but I think i need to do some other things first so I can be better prepared. https://online.lsus.edu/programs/master-...iness.aspx
What is her idea of cheap? That might also be a determining factor.

My MBA program could be completed in 12 months if you double up courses and it was pretty cheap at $11,880 for an AACSB Accredited MBA.

WGU has a $2500 Scholarship. "This scholarship will be credited to your account at the rate of $1,250 per six-month term, renewable for up to two terms".

If she could finish within a year the cost will be $6850.

Since she's busy, I think she wouldn't want to go faster than a year. I think self-paced is best for most people because you can sometimes go faster and sometimes slower. When a degree is not self-paced, you need to be able to make time even when you're busier at work or your kid is sick. WGU is self-paced.

Their page says that if you're full-time, you can finish in 2 years. That's a long time for FT.

Certificate for the Study of Capitalism at University of Arkansas finished July 2022
MBA with Hellenic American University started March 29th, 2021 , finished May 20th 2022, Graduated in June 2022
BSBA at Thomas Edison State University started May 21st 2020 with Sophia and SDC, finished Jan 24th, 2021, Graduated on 12 March of 2021
Total time to complete both degrees 2 years exactly, total cost just a small bit over $10,000
Thanks Degreeforum!

I got more info from her:
She said if its under 5k cause she'll have to pay it out of pocket and doesn't want to add to her current student loan balance. She also spoke to her supervisor again he's leaving within a year so if she's in the program and applies or his position (again the mba is the only thing stopping her) she mostly will get it if she's atleast halfway or more to completion.
So an MBA program that's cheap and easy (so maybe self pace would be a better word substitute). That she can do while working, with 3 kids, and being able to take time off or a term off if needed. And still be able to complete it, i would say maybe 15 months from now till finish?
I couldn't find anything most were out of her budget as well. Maybe something with an enrollment payment plan instead of a course pay would work for her.
Thanks!
Edit: I still say UoPeople would be best for her ever with the terrible peer review, its free and and will more than likely achieve regionally accreditation in the next few years.
