Was talking about this with a friend who's interested in an online master's in English, literature, communication, writing, journalism, or adjacent fields, preferably U.S. "regionally" accredited but will consider other countries. I thought the cheapest RA might be a Don Bosco master's in journalism, but I don't think they offer it online. Indira Gandhi Open University has one in journalism, but I've heard their programs are difficult to navigate.
The age-old wisdom to try somewhere in-state does not apply here, because in-state tuition where they live is expensive.
