Charter Oak due to launch Master's Degree next year
#1
I'm sure everyone has heard rumors about Charter Oak working towards a Master's Degree in Organizational Effectiveness for many MANY years.

In this interview, President Klonoski says that Charter Oak is planning on finally launching that degree next year.

The Master's Degree is not the subject of the interview, but he mentions it at about 03:35.

Is that the one that's only open to teachers or was that another program? Organizational Effectiveness will probably lack effectiveness in getting you a job, imo.

The one for teachers was a 9 credit graduate certificate.

I agree with you. It's not much, but it's a start in the right direction.

It's cool that they are developing graduate programs. Other than EC accepting 15 transfer credits, the Big 3 have no appeal to me at the graduate level.

They accept 15 credits while making the rest so exorbitantly expensive that you might as well transer to a cheaper program that only accepts 6.

Me neither. There are a lot more reputable and more well-known universities out there with online degrees. Why would anyone want to get a graduate degree from any of the big 3?

Cost and Convenience.

Getting a graduate degree from a school that is part of a state public university system is almost always cheaper for residents of the home state.

One option I am considering is University of Georgia for an MBA, since I'm a Georgia resident.

I don't live in New Jersey or Connecticut, so TESC and COSC would be expensive for me. EC is expensive regardless.
