I don't know how COSC does it, but at TESC, if you take a class for graduate credit that is not part of a degree, you can "lower" it down and use it as upper level undergrad credit. So, possibly, if you were eligible to take any of your master's classes without enrolling as a cert/degree-seeker, just a few of them maybe, you could then use them in your COSC degree. I wouldn't word it like that when I asked COSC, I would instead tell them that you were interested in taking X classes for personal enrichment and your job, and wondered if they could be used in your degree. (if you completed the whole cert/degree they likely could NOT be used at COSC). If it worked, it would look something like this: grad class 1 and 2 --> undergrad degree --> graduate from COSC--> pick up graduate certificate where you left off. In this scenario, you're double dipping.

They gave me a warning on my evaluation that some schools may not accept graduate credit toward a graduate degree if those credits have already been used in an undergraduate program. I just thought I'd throw that warning out there.

Thanks everybody. I found 2 independent study courses at University of Arkansas global campus. I'll call Charter Oak next week to speak with someone. I'm just trying to figure some things out before I officially apply.

You know, VESI are grad credit education credits available through St. Catherine's, they are cheap UL and your second concentration could be education which seems to be of interest to you. Health/education might be just the ticket.

You know what? I knew that and totally forgot about it. I planned on doing this through Harvard's Extension program, and I just remembered "how" I worked around it was because the BA degree I used for admission would be different than the BA I'd be double-dipping into. In other words, the grad school would never see "their" credit on my transcript. Great point, and certainly a factor to consider!!
