I know there is a chance for scratches from the brushes when going through one of those automated washes, but this scratch came from a malfunctioning part. I felt a bump twice and my car rocked. When I got home, I noticed a deep scratch along the side of my car. Luckily, it's an older vehicle I'm about to sell, but I'm still mad that I have to sell it with a big scratch on the side. I did contact 7-11, but I was told to wait until Monday when the manager will be there.

The car wash should take responsibility. Give them an estimate, demand payment and consider small claims court if they won't take responsibility.

Thank you. I forgot we have someone in the legal field on here. I'm just afraid they will deny my claim since a manager wasn't notified immediately. But, hey, it's not my fault they don't have a manager on duty on weekends.

Get the name and information of the person you spoke to that said you had to wait until Monday so you have record of the attempt to notify. Take pictures with time/date stamps to show as close as possible when it happened.

you can also notify your insurance just to let them know.

just tell the guy at the counter that you know he's making meth and if he doesn't pay up you'll tell the cops

I just took the car off of full coverage. I'm on a preferred customer plan because I haven't had any accidents in 4 years.

I would address the manager but I'd also write a letter to corporate through the registered agent with my demand for payment. That's where it has to go anyway (back to the owner). You can find the registered agent on the Secretary of State's web page. Send pictures, dates, times, names, an estimate, and your demand for payment via certified mail.
