Capstones and Residency Waivers
#11
I paid one residency waiver fee and graduated AA in December 2017 and BA in March 2018. My daughter did the same with a 3 month separation between degrees.

It appears that a person has to apply for graduation for a certificate. I don't know about fees. I was assuming so.

Did anyone receive any clear guidance on the second bachelors degree? From the TESU website, I can only find where it states that 24 credits are needed. Specifically, I was wondering-
-must they be in the same AOS as the current degree?
-not sure about second capstone
-how many credits must be UL?

Thanks!!

Give an example of what you would have your first bachelor's in, and what the 2nd would be in; otherwise, your question is hard to decipher.

First BA in liberal studies with AOS in social sciences. The second degree might be a BA in Political Science. How would that work in terms of 24 new credits? I'm trying to wrap my head around this to see if it's doable with extra courses I have taken through study. Com where I haven't taken the exam yet.

Your 24 new credits have to be in the AOS.  So, 24cr in the major, between required courses and PoliSci electives.  I'm not certain if you have to do another capstone or not.

The PoliSci degree is not completely test-out-able, so unless you already had PoliSci courses to bring in, you're going to be paying upwards of $800-$1100 per course for any you can't find through test-out/ACE/NCCRS methods.

EDIT: I think the PoliSci degree MAY be able to be tested out of, using CSU-Global for some of the courses.
