OK...super frustrating. My mentor said it would be 'unethical' of him to share any samples of other people's capstones.
I KNOW I've read in here that other mentors have shared samples. Can anyone share samples here? the 'new textbook' for the course is not as helpful as I had hoped it would be. I'm struggling with the wording on some areas and it seems like my only other source for sample papers would be to pay for something like Coursehero.
can anyone help?

They prob didn't show up in your search since it's a new board? I don't know. I had it saved to my toolbar as I'm in capstone now. :-)
Here is the link to one example paper, and you can look on the right (on the page inside this link) for some other samples listed. They may or may not be great, I can't say, but at least it gives some examples.

The mentor I have just put up 6 great examples on the moodle announcements page.
I don't see how it is unethical when people search and use academic papers all the time.

It would be unethical to share them without permission. He's just too lazy to get permission from one of his students.

Exactly what davewill said...he can do it if he has permission. Mine shared a sample paper. Granted, it was outdated in the sense it was following an old APA format and that was slightly problematic if you were relying on it as a crutch to learn APA. However, as far as structure of needing to know how the paper should be styled - it was exactly what I needed. I never had to guess at what my mentor wanted with the sample paper.

I find the sample questions and sub-questions in the e-book to be very helpful. Check out pages 42-44.

My mentor is not helpful either, but yours sounds worse.
We have some examples. I am a creative project but I gave up because my mentor just kept sending me 'form answers' and didn't want to engage at all about it.
I'm sorry, I just feel about like you do. Not enough help.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything... but do either of you want to share who your professor is? May help others in the future know who to avoid...?
