Exaclty I never regretted applying when I had like 20 credits and sending my transcript to TESU for every 3 courses I do. I dont care if I finish 3 in a day or a month. Once I hit 3 courses I'm tranferring it in. You never know when TESU will change something.

My expectation (and hope) is that it will be waived, so this should only apply to people who have an actual GPA, and a lot of alt ed transfer students won't have a GPA at all until after they complete their capstone.
I don't think it's new. I thought there was always a 2.0 requirement to enroll, so I'm not sure anything has changed.
There is a 2.0 GPA requirement to graduate from the school (which is what is referred to in the evaluation), but don't think that is specifically to register for a course. As far as I can tell that is new... I haven't had a chance to look at the printed catalogue yet though to see if there is any reference there that I may have missed.
This whole thing having anything to do with course registration just seems silly to me though. If you are at 1.99 GPA, and you just need one more course to get your GPA >= 2.0 you're out of luck since the system won't let you register? Assuming this is only for the capstone, that still means you have to take other courses to get your GPA up.
You need a 3.0 or better to pass the capstone anyway, so maybe they assume that if you're coming into the capstone with under a 2.0 GPA you're unlikely to pass the capstone?

I'll be honest there were a few people in my Capstone course that didn't seem like they would pass; that based on their group discussion posts. I'd say 2 out of about 20 - but that is still 10% of the class that I still wonder if they got through - I'd be extremely surprised if they did pass. I'm glad to say that I didn't get the feeling that either of them were associated with this forum. I'll add that the few that were identified in the course as being members here did very well, I find the we here tend to find a way to 'get it done!' - even if there is some struggle along the way.

Yeah, I wonder the same about a few people in my capstone based on their feedback in the discussions, but maybe I'm just working at it too hard.

I figured I'd just do my best - worst case scenario I'd have to come up with the tuition to give it another go; but I'd be far better prepared round two! If anything having to have those 100 credits complete makes you more committed to not having to retake it - you've just come too far to fail (sure, you have no life for 12 weeks - it's worth it). I got through it, and now I'm weeks from being a college graduate - Yay.

I think people in this forum will always succeed. For many of us the fact that we can teach ourselves at least 117 or so credits says a lot about our motivation. A lot of people here get A's in the capstone, I mean after you knock out a course in some hours or days the time alloted for the capstone seems astronomical!
Not to mention based on what I see many of us are successful at grad school and many of us found this forum because of the desire to push the boundries and explore.
Heck if you found this forum and made it it the capstone, its very unlikely you'll fail at anything!

LOL... going into the capstone I was really worried about it since the syllabus looks intense. However, now that I'm a few weeks in, I'm thinking its going way too slow for me. I'm working a few weeks ahead of the course calendar but the writing is the most time-consuming part. I'd be done with all the assignments by now if it were more like a normal class with a handful of writing assignments.

Thanks for saying that! I am quite confident in my abilities, and have so far done very well in all my courses. But reading some of the posts here was making me a bit uncertain about enrolling for the capstone in March 2019. I have been wanting to consult with someone on this forum as to what the capstone actually involves, how many hours of study per week, and how tough/easy are the sessions.

Same with me! I know the business capstone is different but I actually started a regular research paper but got bored the first week in after I basically finished it!! So I decided to do a practical project instead to not be bored!
@Supermind do the Guided Study, its much easier in my opinion, dont sweat it! You brain is so accustomed to processing a course at lightning speed to move on to the next one, even if something is hard for you it will only take a few days to figure it out!
I would do it ASAP before TESU puts a cap on ACE credits of decides you need an additional course or something!

Alright here is what I received back from TESU.
"The Registrar’s Office will automatically remove the registration hold for a Capstone class once a student has met this criteria. However, in a situation such as the one which you have described, a conversation with an Academic Advisor is needed (regular communication with an advisor is always encouraged anyway). This allows us to remove the registration hold and approve the Capstone based on extenuating circumstances, i.e. a student has completed 100 credits but the transcripts/score reports have not yet been evaluated."
