I'm eager to hear anybody's experiences or thoughts about PLA-ing this kind of course. I am interested in PLA-ing an intro level programming course, and a DBMS course or AI course. Or only one. I would want to use LearningCounts to avoid the costly PLA course(s) at TESU.

I PLA'd a number of CS courses. However, I have over 30 years of experience and my portfolio was based on that experience. I outlined my path in the PLA tips thread linked in my sig. If there had been cheap online courses that I could have tested my way through, I would have chosen those instead.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

I only suggest PLA's if there's not a cheaper option elsewhere. There are multiple ways to take an entry-level programming course (SL, UExcel, CSU-Global) and CSU-G has a database course as well.

Mostly I want the UL one in DBMS or AI, without paying $850+. However, I might just pay. Or perhaps find something cheaper like Comp Architecture which I'm not as interested in.
I guess I won't try to PLA the entry level one, but I thought it could be like an entry to PLA, before trying to PLA one of the above.
