I have been doing a ton of research on this but before i make any moves I wanted to check with the experts here and see if there is anything i may have missed.
I have been a full time college student for the past three years and have credit from three different SUNY schools but i will not be returning this year because i have elected to join the navy reserve. My goal is to enter law enforcement and the positions i am interested in require a college degree.
I would like to try to finish a degree before i leave for training in November. Most of my credits are in either political science or criminal justice and i am looking for the best program to try to transfer my credits into and finish the remainder with either self passed classes or tests. What would you recommend for me? I have researched the 'big 3' and am interested but i would be more interested in a school with a brick and mortar presence if at all possible only because I have done all my classes up until this point conventionally. Thanks in advance!

You may be able to finish the remainder of your courses through OPENSUNY (formerly SUNY learning network).
Online Degrees and Certificates with Open SUNY | The State University of New York
Empire State College is the non-traditional school for SUNY, but there are others you can complete online, like Canton. Try here first to see if you can finish there. How many credits do you have completed already?
Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement Leadership B TECH | Open SUNY
As far as Brick and Mortar, I let that hang me up for years. In the end, I took a chance with TESC and honestly, no one gives a rats behind that it doesn't have a B&M presence (except for the nursing building), especially in Government. I make close to six figures and I was even accepted to a real good school for an MBA. Other students have transferred into graduate programs at some really good schools. One person just finished their MBA at Indiana Kelley Business School, one of the top schools in the country. Another is doing their PhD in CJ after going to TESC for Social Science.
Criminal Justice is not the easiest degree to complete with the Big 3, but you may be able to do Social Science. Post your credits and we can better help you.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

It depends on what you have left. when i was a ny resident, i considered canton and i remember that they were clep friendly, so you may be able to accelrate it that way. If not, the big three will probably be your best bet. There are also competency based schools like WGU and Northern Arizona.
