have a child studying for this one. has gone through IC flashcards and taken the free-clep-prep practice test. Scored 77%
Is the child ready for the DSST or would you recommend more studying? would you suggest taking the practice tests on petersons or ?
Thank you in advance

I think that your child is ready to take the test. I did the FCP practice test the other day, I was studying for Management Information Systems, and I got a 73% and then took it again and got a 77% without going over my previous test. If you want more practice tests, then you can get two from Prometric for $5; they're really helpful. That being said, don't be discouraged if your child takes them and doesn't do too well because I think that they're a little bit harder than the real thing. They are a very good indicator of readiness, though. You only need a 59-63% to pass Intro to Computing, so I would say that your child is ready. Does he/she understand the concepts? That is very important, along with memorizing facts.
